The Brick: Queens Hall Action on Poverty

Supporting Wigan residents for over 100 years, The Brick offers a range of help and assistance that is practical, caring, and effective at reaching those in need. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Foodbanks
    • Emergency and supported accommodation and social activities for homeless people
    • Crisis intervention for at-risk residents
    • Training and supported volunteering for upskilling individuals to help them into jobs

On top of the donations raised by the Snowdon walk (as pictured above), PNP Electrical Services has worked with The Brick for 4 years – offering free electrical work and free PAT-testing for small electrical items.

In doing so, the charity hasn’t needed to fund this service and has been able to use their limited resources for other tasks or projects.

    AIM Northwest

Started by courageous survivors of domestic abuse, Aim Northwest provides intervention support for families affected by domestic abuse and helps all involved to seek help and support.

    Support from Aim Northwest includes:

    • Peer mentors
    • Support groups
    • Emergency housing
    • Financial aid
    • Mental and physical health assistance
    • Education and training

Their most recent initiative, The Uniformity Project, recycles used uniforms and distributes them to families for a lower cost – ensuring every child who needs one can access a high-quality school uniform and fit in.

As well as the general fundraising that came from climbing Snowdon, PNP have assisted with new shop/office unit wiring and has provided a van for the year to make The Uniformity Project more efficient for volunteers.

This enables them to transport larger volumes of donated and recycled uniforms, helping more families in need.

The Chocolate Orange challenge for Alder Hay

In memory of their son Elliott Lamb who passed away aged just 4 in 2010 and the specialist care he received, Chris Lamb and hundreds of people across the North West donate Terry’s chocolate oranges to the medical staff of hospitals like Alder Hay Children’s Hospital.

To continue this tradition, PNP collects and donates chocolate orange treats every year, helping our local doctors and nurses feel appreciated for the valuable work they do.

    Cherrybrook FC under 8s

Situated at Laithwaite Park, Cherrybrook FC offers community-based opportunities for boys and girls to play football and develop valuable life skills.

By sponsoring the under-8s team, some of the youngest players at the club can learn skills like communication, teamwork, discipline, and confidence while also improving their physical health and fitness.

    Rainford Rangers

Based in Ormskirk, Rainford Rangers FC offers team sports opportunities for a range of ages, from the under-6s to under-18s looking to play in the Southport and District leagues.

Thanks to the support from sponsors like PNP Electrical Services Ltd, more children than ever can access a sense of community, skill development, and opportunities that might otherwise be denied to them.

    Rainford Cricket Club

As well as supporting football clubs, PNP also extend their backing to the local cricket teams who play at Rainford CC.

With a range of teams, from the under-9s up to the men’s 1st team, sponsorships are essential to ensure access to everything from kit and uniforms to facilities.

    Lancashire Constabulary

To show their support for the local Lancashire Constabulary, PNP sponsored the Great British Police Rugby Team on their tour of Australia in 2024.

The funds raised help to support the community work that the rugby team do as a squad which includes:

    • Scheduling hospital visits each Christmas and giving gifts to young children
    • Donating Easter eggs for young children

They also celebrate other occasions throughout the year they attend and put on community events.
